Norwegians have their own meatballs and here they made it so good! Served with mushy peas and lingonberries , exquisite! The fish macaroni pie is also recommended. Place gets packed in the evening.
It was the first time that I ate reindeer neck, It was very good. The staff was nice. They have power supplies and free Wi-Fi. The prices are acceptable since you are in Norway .
Me and my daughter had a fish pie and a Plukkfisk we highly recommend the Plukkfisk as it was amazing. The service was amazing, the girl in red shirt was very friendly and our experience was great.
Super cosy, down-home delicious Norwegian cooking, lovely service + good Norge beer taps. Also a penguin logo, so basically this place rules. Find your own seat, order at the bar ; English menu avail.
very tasty 'home kitchen' - Norway 's cuisine, I eat a lot but one meal was enough for me and my wife, we've tried the soup , lapskaus and two main courses for NOK 169-179, been there 5 times in 6 days
Typical Norwegian style restaurant , easy and young. Good dishes with fish and meat. Ideal for dinner or for a beer after dinner . Good selection of beers . The staff is very friendly !
Probably one of the best restaurant in Town ! Ask for the english menu to the bar . We've try the beef meatballs and the filet of muton. AWSOME ! Drink one of the great norvégien beers ! Enjoy
I tried «Tørrfisk baller». A little bit wary to the name, but it was delicious!! Also, they have the best choice of beer I’ve ever seen and really good cider ! Perfect for local food with a friend!
Delicious Norwegian Meatballs and Traditional Fish and Macaroni Pie . Many selection of local beers . Very crowded so might be a bit difficult to find a table, but service is wonderful. Very cozy !
Without the doubt the best restaurant in town . As good as other reviews say it is. The reindeerneck is awesome. An authentic Norwegian place. Please go visit when you are in Bergen!
Best food in Norway !! I got the fish macaroni pie and it was one of the best meals ever. Reasonably priced and very very cosy! They have an English menu and wifi and speak English too!
The best meal we had in Norway ! The minke whale sandwich was delicious, if exotic , and I especially loved the cabbage-raspberry salad that accompanied it. Great beer , too!
Awesome selection of local beers and delicious home made hearty food. Try the double IPA and the sausages ! A great antidote to the touristy hell hole down by the harbour .
highly recommend the traditional fish pie + one of the ipas on tap . super friendly staff - a terrific dinner + drinks option!
Hearty food, friendly service . Note that the fish stew isn't soup - it's boiled cod , shredded and mixed with mashed potatoes ! Delicious nonetheless though
An ode to grandma's cooking. Maybe the most affordable and authentic meal in Bergen. Meat balls and Fiah Pie were ample and good quality
The fish stew was unexpected but delicious! Served with a toast made of thin crisps --it hit the spot after a long day of traveling from Oslo. Drink with a side of weiss bier .
WHY THERE: Norwegian cuisine, craft beer , interior. PRODUCTS: amazing. STAFF : smooth. LOCATION: close to mainstream (convenient). PRICES: higher average (reasonable)
Reindeer sausages were awesome, Fish of the day was great! Also nice choice of beers on tap and can/bottle. Absolutely recommend to try out!
It was so delicious. Try the Plukkfisk and the meatballs they are amazing ! They also serve a huge portion . ☺️
Cusine was delightfully delicious!! Soup about 80NOK, sandwich with arctic shrimp (in fact not a sandwich , but a normal meal)about 100NOK. Further - more expensive but definitely worth it! Have a look!
Very crowded but worth the wait. Best pub food in town , friendly crew , good music and beers . Try their cod fish pie . Best to make a reservation .
We had traditional fish (picture) and reindeer . I didn't like the fish that much, but if you want to try out local food, I can only recommend it...
The fish pie was amazing. Wolffish was very good too.
I enjoyed my time here. Plenty of comfort food dishes & local beers to pick from. Walked away feeling like a local.
Very very good food. I went here based on numerous recommendations and wasn't disappointed. They have a good beer list , and the food menu changes everyday.
Try the fish soup , and definitely go for the Common Liss or the Meatballs ! Both delicious, healthy and filling!
Plukkfisk—tasty comfort food of mashed potatoes , bacon and salt cod , with flatbrød & buttah
American thought: meatballs with lingonberries and pea "stuffing" is like a Norwegian version of Thanksgiving dinner ! Delicious
Fantastic food! Very big portions ! Cosy place . Try the carrot soup and the meatballs .
Probably the #2 beer spot after Henrik. Supposedly the food is great. Fun place to hang at the bar with the locals.
Cozy atmosphere and great Norwegian food with a menu that changes daily. Great selection of Norwegian beer
Everything was delicious. Excellent beer selection : IPAs & other delicious ales . Decent prices. Try the pudding and the pork stew !
Conservative prices for decent food. Meatballs with mashed peas is quite good. Fishpie is a little fatty. A wide range of beers
Devoted to small-town Norwegian cooking and informal ambience, good prices. Also try Enhjørningen, locals love it -quality food and old-style elegance.
Great beer selection , but the claim that their popcorn is the world's best falls far from the mark. It's good, but not THAT good. Not many veg options , so popcorn became dinner .
The fish pie and reindeer are both excellent. My wife and I really enjoyed eating here.
Loved the meatballs . Friendly staff and don't forget 10% off with your Bergen card!
Great beer selection , but the claim that their popcorn is the world's best falls far from the mark. It's good, but not THAT good. Not many veg options , so popcorn became dinner .
(Relatively) cheap Norwegian cuisine, nice big portions and hearty meals including meatballs and whale steak - tasty!
I had the Wolffish and the Agnes cake and it was delicious!
Great food and lovely atmosphere. recommend trying the meat balls !
Good traditional food & beer , excellent ambient for eating & drinking, acceptable prices
Small cosy place . Nice food and beer for decent price (we tried cod-mash potatoes and raindeer neck).
Really cute pub/restaurant, very cosy. Free wifi and cheap prices by Norwegian standards. #visitnorway
Cute authentic home style Norwegian meals. Very friendly staff . Great spot for dinner
Cod fillet with bacon cubes, young potatoes , mashed peas and mustard . Traditional Norwegian dish. 219 NOK huge size.
