Try to get a river view room. Much quieter than a city or atrium view room. And you can watch the sunrise over the Great Smokey Mountains . Absolutely breathtaking.
I'm thinking these huge old Marriott's should transition into rest homes.... It would be perfect and they could save on decorating.... Jessica Fletcher and Magnum PI decor :) still I like it!
If you want Wi-fi better plan on an extra $20. Also missing your ice bucket? Check under the TV .

The concierge is very nice! I think I can see the Smokey Mountains
Watch out for the elevators , you may get stuck riding up and down before getting to your floor like I did twice.
No soap or shampoo in room so bring your own O_o
Nice front desk staff . There are no available outlets beside the bed.
Hotel has seen its day. Mattresses are ancient and too soft. Staff , however, is fabulous.
The outside might look like a Russian ammunitions factory but the inside is really nice.

Pretty hotel . Huge inside. Some of the rooms smelled a little funky though and room service is bland and way overpriced.
You can hear all the ruckus from the lobby in your room.
Best mac and cheese ever!
Not a nice Marriott. Got King & rollaway instead of 2 queens. Was told that the rollaway was just as comfortable as the queen...yeah right.
