Miami University Rec Center is a college gym Oxford located in United States.
750 Oak St Oxford , OH 45056 United States
The 50 meter pool here is great and usually not very crowded . I often have the pool to myself.
Whether you want to play basketball , work out, or swim , the Rec Center is the place to be. Grab a friend and hit the gym .
Great options for working out from straight lifting weights and cardio to rock climbing or use of one of two large pools .
The Martin Fitness Center , "The Rec" is named after Phi Delta Theta alumnus Wells Martin, Jr., Ohio Alpha 1942, Bond #752.
Check out the climbing wall! It's free for women on Wednesday nights from 6:30-9:00 during the semesters .
Try TRX on Sunday nights with Annie...one of the best full-hour, total body workshops at the Rec!
The earlier in the day you go, the better. Between 5-8 in the afternoon, the place is packed
Take Vinyasa yoga with Holly or TRX training with Zach to get great workouts!
The best time to go is anytime before lunch because it is the least crowded then.
Be sure to drink plenty of water!
If you're a hardcore lifter, show up after 8 or you'll burn up waiting to get in on sets.
They don't have any bumpers or Olympic equipment, and only one real pullup bar , so CrossFitters have to improvise a bit.
Try a group fitness class with Jacky. She is fierce and fabulous!
If Miami is in session the only reasonable time to go is 6AM.
6:30 m-f: always a group playing some pick-up games. Come join!
Go to classes with Mindy or Kelly. They are the best
First week of every semester all the group fitness classes are free
The first 2 weeks of the semester (both fall and spring) sucks and entirely way to crowded
When doing arm curls, notify girls walking by that you just did 1000
Break a mental sweat too
