The steps down the cliff behind the hotel need special care as they're steep, narrow, sandy & irregular, but at the bottom is a beautiful secluded beach !

Great place to stay if your children/grandchildren are between 0-13 years old. Also this is the best and most scenic 10K in the area, you can easily beat my PB of 52:06 right?

Just blew in from the Windy City ! Close to surf capital Sagres & at the top of a cliff, so even in the hot summer it's really really blowy here. Cover up in the evenings!

It's useful to have your own car. The hotel is very cut off and the cab company has a monopoly, so at peak times expect to wait 30-45 minutes for a taxi or the same amount of time walking into town !

If they offer you an upgrade to a suite, have a look first. They're bigger than standard rooms, but the bedrooms are cramped and we preferred to keep the standard room

Everything is top quality here, though it's a little remote and so a fairly long walk to anywhere

Cash is king! They don't exchange foreign currency here, there are no ATMs nearby and in town the ATMs are likely to be empty or broken by part way through the weekend

The service is outstanding. Very peaceful . Great for kids. One of the top 5 five places for me.
