The caramel latte from pumpkin cafe is decent enough as are the ham and cheese and cheese and tomato toasties !

If you have a London Midland Train with Blue Seats these are by far the most comfortable . Individual tables and a number of seats with Extra leg room. In addition they have seats with communal tables

Check how long your train will be stopping here for. You're be able to get off and buy some goodies before it takes off again, as it can be up to 15 minutes.

Quickest and most comfortable to get here from London Euston is with Virgin Trains to Milton Keynes and then step over for London Midland on platform 3 for a much shorter trip to Northampton Station

Check the All Aboard to Northampton displays adjacent to the ticket barriers - maybe you’ve got a missing ticket in your hand!

Enjoy the changing of the guards ...as in train guards because you'll be stuck on a London Midland train here for up to 20 minutes with nothing else to do. Makes Guantanamo seem like Butlins.

The new station is really nice, so much daylight, clean and a nice Starbucks.

Building work pretty much done and dusted now: all vehicular access from the rear of the building.

It's taken over 6 months to get the potholes filled in the car Park and one set of the entrance doors to the building broke before Christmas and they are still not fixed mid February. Nobody cares.

Despite this being a brand new station , there's nowhere to buy a beer or a wine . Pretty poor planning considering the amount of time London Midland strand passengers here, due to terminated trains .

They are investigating where the Northampton castle use to be many years ago, before they will be a new train station

LM staff love leaving passengers in the rain as it takes forever for the guard to open the doors.

Pay attention when on a train that splits here to make sure you are in the right half for where you want to go.

It's faster to book your tickets in advance online and collect from the ticket machines. Especially during school holidays when the queues can often overflow out of the station.

Lots of building going on and drop-off parking is to the rear.

Don't get a London midland train if it's raining as they leave you standing in the rain with the doors locked.

Roll on the 20 million pound investment for the station upgrade. It's so 1984 here.

As a Northampton resident even admit this station needs a total revamp. It's a busy line an a Hub to London, so more investment needed.

Get a car. You'll not regret it.

The trains on the Euston line stop here for ages, it's incredibly irritating.

As normal it's raining and they can't be bothered to open the doors. Let everybody get wet waiting.

Beware of incompetent ticket guards . Make sure you have proof of your route or time to confirm with ticket office .

If you find yourself stopping here, keep going. The rest if the world is only a stop away. There is nothing stopping you, stop stalling.

From tamworth to euston the train sits at northampton for hours, get a move on

Would it really hurt London Midland to let passengers use the plug sockets in the Waiting Room?

Travelling with London Midland is slow and uncomfortable; if possible use another company.

Tried to stay on train but it got cancelled. No coffee / snacks after 8pm and no waiting room after 9pm. Don't get caught out like me!
