化石 はもちろんのこと、石炭の展示 内容も良く出来てます。いい意味で市営とは思えないぐらい立派な博物館 です。
恐竜やアンモナイトなどの化石 標本や、常磐炭坑の歴史を学べる博物館 。エレベーターで地下600メートルに下って模擬炭坑を体験できます。
