Silvermine West is the one with the dam , but Silvermine East (across the road ) has hundreds of caves to explore.
Starting point for Elephant's Eye Cave , Noordhoek Peak, and a number of other trails leading into the Table Mountain National Park .
Bring hiking boots , sunblock, hat, water and an extra ton of sunblock!

Definitely worth the annual fee if you're a Somerset West resident. It is enjoyable, but the weekend crowd can occasionally be a bit noisy. Plenty of bird species, Bontebok & large Leopard tortoises. - Bryn De Kocks
