It's hectic but the best place for dim sum in San Diego. It's a bummer though when you're full and then see what you really wanted come by on another cart . Don't get greedy in the beginning.
Pace yourself! There is plenty to be had, don't let the Chinese aunties hustle you into grabbing too many dishes at once!
Great place to have dinner with family. Watch out for the weekends... There's usually a wedding taking up the large space and you'll be relegated to the smaller area
I usually love Jasmine for dim sum ! Don't go before 1130am on weekdays however! They dont serve as well and the good stuff isn't ready!
Dim sum is very good but the baked goods are mediocre. What really stands out though is the tenure of ownership (26 years is unusually long) and the restaurant’s commitment to the community.
Dim sum is great. But if you arrive after 3 PM, the dim sum is made to order, and not on the cart .
Pretty good food. Always packed. I really like the fun staff .
Great dim sum . Be prepared to not exactly always know what you are eating. I avoided what looked to be fried chicken feet .
For dinner , try this combination: Salted Fish Fried Rice with Chicken and Assorted Seafood Sizzling Plate. You're welcome! :)
the ladies pushing the carts were all very nice.. but most don't speak a lot of English. couldnt have shrimp & we were told one was just chicken .. but it clearly had shrimp in it. ALL BAD 4 ALLERGIES
Don't get there early to avoid the crowd because you will also be avoiding the dishes that come out later. Just be prepared to wait ... it is worth it! Read more
Try the Dim Sum - #delicious
The lobster noodle , duong chau fried rice and mango pudding was the best!!
Still use the carts but if you sit in the back might take a while to get what you're looking for.
Bernard Guillas, chef of Marine Room, eats here on his nights off. He loves the Live prawns . Read more
This place is crazy busy on Christmas Day for dinner , come early and plan to wait for a bit.
Tapioca cake , shrimp rice rolls , and sticky rice .
I could come here for dim sum every single day!
Dim Sum service can be hit or miss drowning on where you are seated and who your host/hostess is.
If you can, come with someone who speaks Cantonese.
Try the "football", a fried mochi ball with meat/pork inside.
Oh-my the baked pork buns are the bomb-diggitty! fo-sure!
Learn some Cantonese, ha gao, shu Mai
Very good Dim Sum !
Not usually a fan of Dim Sum , but this was very good.
The beef ribs here are the best.
Go before 10:30am or else you'll be waiting in line
Eat as much as you can!
not bad.. the servers were pretty quick for a dimsum restaurant..
Wednesday night Karaoke is awesome
Try the dim sum here.
The very best Dim Sum .
Not a good dimsum ... Siumai was sour
Outstanding Chinese food; possibly best in San Diego
Best Cantonese restaurant for seafood and fried tofu. Always get their pan-fried noodles and pea pot leaves in garlic sauce. - Ploi Pirapokin
Accidentally found this place but love it! Unique-flavored iced milk/tea with boba drinks that you will not find anywhere. Must try Iced Taro milk drink! - Mai Teague
One of my favorite places to eat! Always great food and the staff is excellent! - J C
Strawberry lemonade icy and crispy chicken! Parking is laaaame, though, but its a good place to bring friends and see who can handle Tapex's x3 spicy crispy chicken. - Gena Arrington
Love the mini pancakes filled with custard at the stand just outside of the registers. - Jennifer Conrad
Some great unique food choices here - don't go mainstream (Rubios, Panda) and you will be fine. - Mark P
