The pizza at Figaro's Pizza right up the street from the lodge is excellent and well priced with fast and friendly service , better than any food inside the lodge .
The magiquest is fun but takes a long time, so split it up during breaks from swimming . Bring a cooler for drinks and snacks and any meals microwaveable. Starbucks coffee refills are only $1.
Take the stairs! Bring drinks, snacks , and breakfast . Eat dinner in town ... both the Pizza and Mexican restaurant is pretty good. Then good luck, this place nickels and dimes you.
Christmas time they really go all out! It SNOWS INSIDE! There's a huge tree decorated with tons of led lights. Staff is amazing as well . Santa makes an appearance and that's just in the main lobby!
With 5 other locations across the US, Great Wolf Lodge has made a great home right here in the NW. They've transformed small town Grand Mound, WA into a destination for families and kids of all ages!
Get the icee cup while you are there. It's less than $15 and huge and you can refill it as much as you want while you stay. It's a promotion going.
Hey grownups.. let the kids go crazy and take an adult break at the camp critter bar . its downstairs and part of the camp critter restaurant and the only escape from the mayhem ;-)
My kid freakin' loves this place. It's pretty fun to ride the Howling Tornado with a 9-year-old. I wouldn't miss his smile for the world.
The family-style dinner is a pretty good deal - ribs , mashed potatoes & sautéd veggies enough for 5-6 ppl for $40. Other than that, expect to pay $15/person to eat. Lots to do VERY fam friendly !
"MagiQuest ," a wand-based scavenger hunt popular with little kids and slightly-maladjusted adults alike. There is running, screaming, and waving wands . So I'll be seeing you there, right?
The clock tower show for kids teaches them that if they are lost in the woods they should "trust in Mother Nature" to find their OWN way home, because "there's nothing to be scared of". No, thank you.
Two water slides require two - four people. Four other slides are individual and great. Water is warm and clean . Meals are $12+ a person starting. Elevators are slow so take the stairs to save time
Burger Claim is definately worth the walk across the parking lot . 5% discount with wristband. Glad to get out of crowded hotel for break! Food fresh and WAY better than hotel !!!
Check out time is 11 AM, so be ready to have bags of separate clothes cause you can stay in the water park til 9PM
Do not look the god-emperor directly in the face, or your soul will bind with him and your eyes will burn out - just like the owl-seer at Great Wolf Lodge Story Time .
Bring your own breakfast and maybe even lunch . You'll save a ton of $ and the breakfast buffet isn't great and the kids are ready to get out. Each room has a kitchenette . They also give out upgrades.
When you factor in the water park passes included into the room rate, the lodge is a pretty good "daycation" deal! Your kids will worship you!
Bring your own food and water in the room. Check in as early as 1pm.
Check out Burger Claim across the parking lot . Food is great and 1/2 the price of the resort grub. $3.99 breakfast...need I say more?
Bring a small cooler with beverages..you will need them after the water park . It's a one night hotel ..trust me!
The onsite pizza does not fit in your room fridge and its big so make sure u can eat it all
Make sure to ask about the breakfast vouchers , it'll save you 3 to 5 bucks per person at breakfast .
My only complaint would be irresponsible parents letting their kids run like wild dogs through the hotel and slam doors late at night.
All in all a fun place, kids enjoy themselves, that's all that really matters.
The restaurant food isn't that good and is very over priced for what you get. Don't forget to bring your flip flops, you'll need them. All in all a very fun place to come with the kids!
Paradise for kids!
Rooms have kitchenettes ; mini fridge and microwaves but you do need utensils, bowls etc. Dish soap too! Everything is very pricey !!
Breakfast opens at 8am at Burger Claim next door. You can walk to your breakfast in 200 or less steps from lodge .
Try Burger Claim restaurant next door to Lodge : great never-been-frozen burgers at a great price!
Do not let your kids play the nintendo until you are ready to spend $7.50 an hour. It isn't documented anywhere. Check out is automatic and may surprise you...
Guaranteed wait of 20 minutes if there is one person in line ahead of you. They are beyond slow in taking food orders.
Bring a roll of TP $600.00 a night for a room and they give you splintered basal wood for TP!
The Grapevine one is the best I've been to so far.
Lock your car up - especially in the back lot. I found cars having obviously been broken into and folks running away into the woods.
Lots of fun for the kids.
Spend money to spend money. I was OK with it until they wanted $10 for two hours of digital music in a $500 per night room.
Howlin' Tornado is the best!
Even with military discount we spent over $400 on one night. Room was a lot smaller than expected and so was the water park . Every kid has a wand . I expected them to be $5. Nope. $22 each. Ouch.
Show your lodge wristband, get 5% off Burger Claim !
Bring food and drink with its over priced hear and it suks
Great Antique Store across from lodge
magiquest is SOOO lame - your whole vacation will be spent walking all over the place so your kids can point sticks at stuff - I thought this was a water park , barely even had a chance to hit water :/
THERE IS A WAVE POOL PEOPLE!
Bring credit card(s) ... they are money ninjas.
Prices have gone up. Appetizers for $15.99, really? Jeez.
Bring your own beach towels.
If you go in the Howlin' Tornado watch out for a 15 foot drop!
Search on the internet and you can find promo codes that save you 10 to 20%.
Great taco truck across the street!
Dinner at the critter country grill was actually decent. Breakfast at the buffet was over priced!
