Visit the site of the first meeting place where the Cumberland Presbyterian Church was born. It has a chapel of worship and a recreation of the log cabin that the meeting took place.
Fav park in the area for a nice hike or hanging by the lakes . Birds of prey are pretty cool as well !
Breakfast and salad bar are great. A bit pricey but you can compliment with nearby restaurants . There are plenty.
Forget a tent. No mosquitos in July, bring a hammock-weather is beautiful. The Lake and swim area is great as well

Great place to stay and it's right outside of Nashville. We stayed in may and it was cold at night so bundle up!
Restaurant and motel are quite pricey . Beautiful and clean natural areas. Play equipment for children.
