Lovely place to visit, but set your expectations right in that unless you time your trip perfectly, visibility (as is true with most of Vietnam) will be underwhelming.

Thousands of little islands and floating villages and hidden caves can be seen in this bay . We took a boat trip and stayed overnight at Bhaya4. It was great.

Its wonderful, this 3. most beautiful nature wonder on earth. I took a tour (Fantasea) 3 days 2 nights, with Cat Ba. Only thing i didnt like is so many activities and not much time to enjoy each part.

A visit to Hanoi should include a stop here. Buses to the bay take ~4hrs, so suggest a 3-day/2-night cruise to make the most of it. Consider Bai Tu Long bay as it's less crowded than Halong.

Beautiful. Getting very crowded with tourist boats and the floating villages are being shut down. A good sunset will take your breath away.

Actually, one day trip is good enough if you are not sure about spending a night there. It takes 3 and a half hours from Hanoi to reach Ha Long bay .

MUST VISIT: There will be hundreds of other visitors in Halong Bay but don't mind them. Bask in that communal sense of wonder and delight.

Book your boat trip from Hanoi ! Prices are quite different from one company to another but you should pay around 95$ per person for an average boat trip (2 days / 1 night).
