This place was such a revelation. The dinner is great, with so many traditional dishes exceptionally prepared. BUT THE LUNCH . At 890 HUF for the lunch menu it is such an incredible value.

The menus are multilingual, so it was easy to order. I had the Best of Hungary as a starter and the Gulyas for soup . Both amazing. The cabbage rolls were also delicious.

This place is a must if staying in Budapest – it was such a revelation: in the middle of a small alley, a place with excellent food, excellent service and good selection of traditional Hungarian food .

Amazing value. Pork was succulent and the cabbage with fennel was a delightful combination. But the potatoes with onion and a slight curry flavour were to die for!

This is a gem. For lunch they serve a set menu . It was a soup , fried chicken with rice and the desert was really nice. This 3 course meal was for Euro 3.8 incl service charges!! Unreal

The chicken soup is so satisfying, and features two perfect parsley flavored matzo balls . The pork loin was magnificent, too, perfectly cooked.

We went here two nights, once with and once without a reservation . Both times were excellent and for this price you can't get this kind of service and food anywhere. Haute cuisine for a low price.

Great food! Just watch out when ordering the pasta . In my country , unlike Italy, pasta is a main course. Seems it is a starter in Hungary as well

We had a little trouble finding it(it's in the alley behind the Astoria hotel ) but it was rewarding!big variety,even bigger portions and cheap !only problem is the kitchen closes at about 22:00

Nice atmosphere and good food!! Some belgian beers on the menu as well ! Pairing Chimay Red with pork Knuckle is a good joice.
