Hotel is great! But beware, there are at least 2 copy cat hotels also named Espencen. This is the one with the green sign and the phrase - your home in Hanoi. Nice.

Prices in the Lonely Planet are outdated: the prices are higher. Not much value for money . Room was oke, but water pump was making a lot of noice! No breakfast .

It has one of the best locations in Hanoi as it is super near Hoan Kiem Lake. It needs a little renovation & refurbishing though to keep up with other new hotels cropping up in the area. - May A.
