A must visit for ooty trip. If the weather is very moisture then you can't use telescope. It can focus upto twenty km from there. I had seen race course , don't miss local snacks and chats .yummy

Doddabetta Peak is the highest vantage point in Ooty, located at around 2,623 m. . The beautiful valley, plains of Coimbatore and the flat highlands of Mysore are visible from this point.

Good abt doddabetta peak is u can have beautiful view of ooty town from top but sad part is, street hawkers selling snacks creats filth all around Telescopic instrument is not in service too. :(

As you walk up there are lot if vendors selling fresh fruit , steamed masala peanuts , chickpeas etc and carrots .

View is gorgeous. Don't go during thick fog u can't see nuts then

Pointless to spend time queuing up for the telescope. They just show one small spot like Ooty bus stand or something. Get your own binoculars instead and see all.

Go early morning between 8-9am, enjoy the cloud cover on top of city and then eat Aloo Gonda on tea stall
