Hot spring pools are clean and well-maintained; comparable to Japanese onsen! Try avoiding holidays so you can truly relax without a ton of people in the pool.

TV reception is snowy. Bring a book and sit by the big fire place in the lobby area.

Wifi didn't reach our room; there are no outlets near either bed; there were no robes in our room, but a sign that said we'd be charged for them if we took them... Need I continue?

Stay in the west tower for the nicer upgraded rooms.

I bring my sandwiches , snacks and drinks this time. Besides the breakfast buffet , the rest of food selection is below average.

Hot during are hidden inside a building. Where have all the wild hot springs gone?

Bring slippers for when you hit the hot springs . The walk ways get pretty chilly during the winter!

The pools should be allowed for everyone. It's a shame it can be shared.

You have to bring your towel down from your room.

Make sure you have an extra $200 on your credit card when you check in. They put $200 plus your room charge on your credit card upon check-in.

Stay in the Towers; the original hotel still has rooms with that 1920s "ambience" you can't control the heat!
