Before leaving with train you need to pay an extra Tax, called "diabolo". Your ticket is included this Tax, but if you use a train-pass you must Buy this Tax extra.

For trains to Gent or Oostende, take any train to Brussels North or Midi and transfer there. Will be a lot faster than taking the local train which stops everywhere and takes more than 1 hour.

Buy a ticket BEFORE entering this station. because in the train it's +€7. Don't throw away your ticket! There is control in the train too. You must be able to show your ticket at any time.

Don’t forget to purchase the ‘Diabolo’ Surcharge. Add approx €5/$7 to your one-way train ticket . Gates are used to enforce the surcharge!

Easy access to other cities in Belgium . Watch your bags: pickpockets want to help you put your (small) bags in the overhead bin. They get off and take it with them.

Easy and straightforward. If you were expecting the station to sell food at less prohibitive prices than the airport (like Brussels midi or Schiphol), you’d be disappointed (almost nothing to eat).

Just to use the station at Brussels Airport they charge you extra.

To boost the toerism in Belgium , I guess they didn't think about the poor amount of trains leaving in the weekend from the Airport to anywhere..
