Try the famous lobster roll -they live up to the hype. Make new friends in line . One becomes your "meet cute ". Marry them a year later. Every yr return to Red's for a lobster roll on your anniversary

ZenFoodster

Known for their #1 of Maine-style lobster roll (w/ 1 WHOLE lobster ), this roadside shack in Wiscasset (right before crossing bridge E to Edgecomb) can't be missed..1-hr long line just to order!

Epicurious

The market-price roll is extremely generous: a whole lobster 's worth of nearly intact, unadorned meat (mayo or butter comes on the side), overflowing from a hot dog bun that's too unwieldy to pick up. Read more

Staking claim to the biggest lobster roll , Red's has been a hidden gem on the Maine coast. A full lobster (and probably more) bust out of the britches of the bun . Basic at its best.

PureWow

Heaping pieces of fresh meat overflow onto the tinfoil wrapping (it’s a whole lobster’s worth, by the way). But we’ll happily work our way in with a fork, dipping into our side of melted butter. Read more

#1 of Maine-style lobster roll (w/ 1 WHOLE lobster )! 2nd fave: Grilled Haddock sandwich . Scallops were very fresh & onion rings ok..except batter was too thick. Mayoey crab roll w/ lotsa meat.

Christine L

Probably the most loaded lobster roll I've ever had, so much so that you have to eat it with a fork first. Once you begin to eat it normally, the bun increases the enjoyment exponentially. Long line .

Glenn Lindgren

Stumbled in here on the road to somewhere else. No line on that day, so I had low expectations. But wow! The most lobster I've ever had on a roll and as fresh and tasty as you could ever dream of.

Petra Gregorová

Definitely worth the wait. Not only the staff is super nice but the lobster roll is definitely one of the best I've had to date. Sweet and extremely tender.

Ariane

Best lobster rolls in Maine . PACKED with lobster and tons of butter.

aneessa steilen

Worth the wait. Lobster rolls are HUGE. I’d recommend sharing.

Ed McDevitt

Super lobster roll , outstanding deep fried zucchini . You'll be in line for over an hour. Don'l leave. Great people too. LEAVE THEM A GOOD TIP! The ones who wait on you don't own the place.

Greg G

Lobster roll was delicious. Pile of fresh lobster meat on a toasted and buttered hot dog roll, with choice of drawn butter or mayo on the side. Worth the wait.

USA TODAY

The best lobster roll on Earth is served at an extremely humble shack known as Red's Eats. Red's is a legend among lobster lovers, so the wait in line can be up to an hour. Read more

Marina

This is seriously the BEST lobster roll I have ever had in my life. There was so much lobster you couldn't even see the bun !!!

Becca Carleton

Best lobster roll in the world. The service great everyone works very hard and have great customer service. I got two lobster rolls to go and they did a great job packing them! French fries are great!

Neil Rosos

Wait til 8 or 9p for the line to die down. The amount of lobster in these rolls is amazing!

Marina

Best lobster roll I have ever had. EVER!!! Totally worth the wait. They pour on so much lobster you can't even see the bread !

Ben K.

Probably the biggest, tastiest lobster roll I've ever eaten. Don't miss the fried clams .

Kim Martucci

Insanely long line . One of their fryers was down. But it was worth the wait. Market price for lobster roll was $17.95, but compared to other joints, it was fair (got entire lobster ) & tasted great.

Devan Trammel

Huge lobster roll ! Clarified butter > mayo ! Fantastic bun !

Dan

Huge, very good lobster roll . Not incredible though and they use a lot of tail meat. Can be a very very long wait (we waited ~ 2hrs).

Justin Israels

There is a concentration of no fuss here. Lobsters rolls straight forward with butter on the side and a quaint view .

Artetc

Get your roll & head down to the Waterfront Park . Picnic tables by the water w/ public restrooms makes a better place to eat those fab rolls than with the traffic & fumes at Red's,

José Antonio

Perhaps they serve too much of lobster for one person---if you live lobster---enjoy it!

Sonny Kwok

Get there early~ish, it's as good as I expected, but we got here right at lunch hours, not sure if it's worth 1hr wait while there is another place across the street

Francesca Bettinelli

Of course the lobster roll and the crabmeat roll was great too!

Doug Benedicto

The lobster roll has a ton of meat and a good bun , but wasn't special or worth the wait.

Bill Miller

If you like lobster this is the place to go- no mayo or other fillers on their lobster roll - just lobster . Yum!

Steve Poland

Uncle David’s favorite lobster roll . Prepare to wait ...and be delighted!

Jim Prosser

Absolutely one of if not the best lobster roll in Maine

Elisa S.

The lobster roll is amazingly huge and delicious but the crab cakes are to die for!

Alèxia Solé

According to @Imma_eat_this on Instagram this is the one of the best lobsterroll place.

Debby Cook

The lobster roll is incredible, and definitely worth the wait!

Edison Mann

Order an extra roll. It's so good and you don't want to wait on line again.

Elizabeth Kistler

Check out the general store next door and grab a bottled beer in a brown paper paper bag. Makes the rolls taste even better.

Dave Morrison

Get the Lobster Roll ! It's the best and it's cheaper than the inferior ones they serve at other resturaunts nearby!

Michael Wells

The best lobster roll you'll ever have...but be prepared to wait

Bryan B

Go very early or late in the day and avoid a crazy line for your ridiculously oversized lobster roll .

Marc Grabowski

I can't believe this is labeled as a Hot Dog Joint . Any new englander knows there is one reason to eat at Red's - Lobstah!...and fried dough .

Alford M.

The lobster rolls are the best! Don't go if you aren't ready for huge lines though.

Dave Heal

Apparently if you come in late September all the fried stuff is "sold out for the season." No fried dough , onion rings , etc.

Chi Woo

So good, even after waiting in the rain for 20 minutes!!

Evan Estola

Wait in line . Lobster roll is basic but large and delicious.

Visit Maine

Red's Eats is home of one of Maine's most popular lobster rolls , said to have an entire lobster 's worth of meat in each roll.

Chris Dilts

If you stay at the Newkirk Inn in Wiscasset, you would be walking distance from Red's!

kevin mcgrory

Try the Sundae - Denali caramel caribou with hot fudge , peanuts , marshmallow , and whip cream .

ian ess

In summer only go at night to avoid the outrageous lines . This place is packed 30 ppl deep at lunch in the summer. The reason: they claim to put 1 entire lobster in every lobster roll .

Brian Childers

Get the lobster roll ! Make sure you bring cash! No charge cards accepted!

Mark The ???? Driver
