Itasca State Park

Established in 1891, Itasca is Minnesota's oldest state park. It totals more than 32,000 acres and includes more than 100 lakes. Walk across the Mississippi as it starts its journey 2,552 miles to the Gulf of Mexico. Camp under the stars, or stay the night at the historic Douglas Lodge or cabins.

This place is amazing! Plan to spend the day meandering about the park . There's so much to see, but make sure you walk across the Mississippi river at the headwaters . So much fun!
