Make a reservation in advance for the tour if you want to see everything. Outside sculptures are amazing, if cardboard boxes were your favorite toy as a kid.
The long tour , 25 bucks, it worth it if you care about contemporary art or conceptual art . Light, space, form; that sorta stuff is well covered. The docents aren't awful at all.
Judd's work involves a lot of shadow and light, so make sure to go on a sunny day otherwise you're missing half the magic.
This is an exceptionally fabulous display of art in natural surroundings. Prepared o be awed!
Eh on Donald Judd - you can view the cement blocks series for free on your own, but it's $10 for the aluminum series indoors
Amazing tour of Judd works- a must and do the full collection
Pretty good student discounts . Be sure to bring your camera for the concrete works!
The place you came to see
Take a walk here in the morning but watch out for snakes! - Kind of a Texas Stonehenge.
Free outdoor insulation
Closed for both 11/24,11/25, too bad, it would be great view with icey landscaping.
Bring your camera , lots of cool pics. No flash or tripod.
Please don't bring your pets
Opt for the shorter tour and see if the aluminum pieces have moved over night.
Muy buen lugar si te gusta el arte minimalista
Reserven online porque los grupos se llenan.
there are a couple of versions of the tour you can take. you should at least try the 'studio tour' – a good overview of some of the property in downtown marfa, including the bank, that judd took over. - naveen
a must every time you're here: some really great, most accessible art you'll find - naveen
Gorgeous light. And there's some art in here too. - Ash Ponders
Unique experience. ❤️ the concept. It gets cold in October so bring warm clothes. Bring soap too. The outdoor showers are awesome. I stayed at a teepee and they're huge. Would definitely come back. - Sheyla Concepcion
